Mind and Back was founded by Ben O'Loghlin.
At the age of 21, while at university, Ben was experiencing severe back, neck and shoulder pain, and tension headaches.
After exploring medication, physiotherapy, yoga, massage, stretching, acupuncture and meditation, Ben was left despondent and frustrated. These methods made some short-term difference, but Ben remained confused as to the root cause of his back, neck and shoulder problems.
It wasn't until he discovered a little-known therapy called Alexander Technique that his healing journey began. Ben is now completely free of back, neck and shoulder pain.
Alexander Technique is famous amongst musicians, dancers and actors, being taught at many well-known institutions including The Juilliard School and Royal College London.
Amazed that the Technique isn't more widely known, Ben resolved to make Alexander Technique available to anyone with the resolve to change their situation. In Mind and Back's programs, Alexander Technique is adapted to an online group setting and is complemented by a range of educational resources.

Known for their naturally good posture, meerkats stand tall and alert, which serves as a reminder of the importance of awareness and alignment in our own bodies. Just like the meerkat’s posture supports their health and balance, our program helps you develop awareness of your body and posture to reduce or eliminate back pain.
Meerkats are also highly resilient and adaptable, qualities we aim to nurture in our clients. They thrive in challenging environments by staying mindful and making adjustments as needed. Similarly, we help you adapt your mindset and toolset for chronic pain, giving you the tools to overcome obstacles and find lasting relief.
Finally, meerkats live and work in tight-knit communities, looking out for one another. In the same way, we provide a supportive environment where you are guided and coached every step of the way.
